I just finished the audio version of The Only One Left by Riley Sager. Take one part Agatha Christie and mix in a dose of Lizzy Borden and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane and what you have is a mystery with many twist and turns.

The book takes place in the early 1980's. Kit McDeere is a caregiver who has fallen on hard times. Her last patient, her mother, died under suspicious circumstances. Kit was cleared of those accusations but is having a hard time restarting her life. Her chance comes when a wealthy, infamous patient, Lenora Hope, needs a new caregiver. Lenora is infamous for killing her entire family in 1929. Lenora lives in a cliffside mansion called Hope's End. Despite some misgivings, Kit takes the role as Lenora's caregiver and begins to try and piece together what really happened to Lenora's family in 1929.

This book is full of surprises, one after the other and I did not see any of them coming. This was my first Riley Sager book and I will certainly be back for more. Don't miss The Only One Left.

Until next time, keep turning those pages....
