It is hard to believe that summer is here and that means more time to turn those pages. With so many great books coming out in the next few weeks, it is going to be hard to read all of these by Labor Day. At any rate, here is my top 10 reading list for the summer of 2024, in no particular order:

  1. Swan Song by Elin Hilderbrand. As the title indicates, this is her last book set on Nantucket. I am sad to see these books come to an end but am looking forward to this book.

  2. Camino Island series by John Grisham. I am rereading the entire series including the third is the series, Camino Ghosts. I am really looking forward to the audio version read by Whoopi Goldberg.

  3. Lies and Weddings by Kevin Kwan. Having enjoyed the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy, this new one from Kevin Kwan looks to be a another winner.

  4. Summers at Saint by Mary Kay Andrews.....need I say more? What would summer be without MKA?

  5. All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker. The advance reviews have rated this mystery highly.

  6. Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren. I have been waiting for this book for a while. It has all of the elements of a fun summer romance novel.

  7. Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez. Another book with high, high ratings. Perfect summer rom-com.

  8. The Breakaway by Jennifer Weiner. This book came out late last summer and I missed it.

  9. A Happier Life by Kristy Woodson Harvey. Having read all of her prior books, this is a must read for 2024.

  10. A Calamity of Souls by David Baldacci. Legal thriller set in southern Virginia during the1960s.

As I look at this list, it is ambitious but I am sure there will be more than these 10. I will provide updates and reviews over the course of the summer.

In the meantime, keep turning pages... and have a great summer!
