I am wrapping up a week at the beach that was filled with family, friends, food, fun and, of course, reading. Like many of you I am always overly ambitious with my vacation TBR. I took 3 hardback books and downloaded seven kindle books. I did not want to risk running out of reading material. Out of all of those books, I finished four and have two in process. Of those I finished, here are my thoughts:

  1. Sandwich by Catherine Newman. Four stars. I can relate to the main character’s stage in life.

  2. Other People’s Houses by Clare Macintosh (NetGalley ARC). Four stars. Good characters and plenty of suspense.

  3. Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Four stars. Good historical story of the space program.

  4. The Stolen Life of Collette Marceau by Kristin Harmel. Five stars. Beautifully written story of two sisters in WWII.

The other two books in progress are also wonderful, The Ghostwriter by Julie Clark and Beach House Rules by Kristy Woodson Harvey. I will report back on those later. In the meantime, try to stay cool in these hot summer days and keep turning those pages…
